Hello there!

My name is Madison Bode (rhymes with Cody) and I use she/her pronouns. I grew up in Asheville, NC and have found my home in a few different mountain ranges since. My current home is a custom built out school bus that I have named Trudie. My tride and Trudie keeps me and my two cats safe and cozy in Fort Collins, CO right now but we try to roadtrip to Alaska each summer together. I graduated from East Carolina University in May of 2023 with a BFA in Musical Theatre, go pirates!

I am an avid lover of the outdoors and love to go on walks anywhere with trees— bonus points if I can collect wild flowers, pine cones, and chestnuts. I’m pretty mediocre and a lot of crafts. I crochet, knit, sew, embroider, and really love E6000 glue. I am learning to play guitar, I can tell a mean ghost story, and I’m an ex-competitive dancer with a funky, fresh back injury!

  • Trudie and Bruno in Alaska

    My bestie, Sammie, and I spent some time in our favorite place. This was Trudie and my cats’ first trip ever! We camped in the wilderness chopping our own firewood, washing dishes in the glacier-fed river, and hiding the cats when bears or wolves were nearby. Though the biggest threat for the cats were actually the crows.

  • Downsizing the Bathroom

    I wanted less weight in the back of the bus, so here is me in the middle of tearing the old bathroom apart. The old bathroom cost roughly $30-$40 to build and took a week to complete. It also weighed between 75-100 lbs. The knew bathroom cost $50, was already put together, weighs <20 lbs, and provides 2 extra feet of floor space!
